We all want to live forever, but we shouldn't. We're not supposed to. Ironically, if we could literally live every single day that time and space have left, our lives would be almost meaningless. It's the end of lives that cause them to matter.
But your life, short as it is -- and perhaps because it's short -- can have more meaning and more effect on other people than you can possibly imagine… if you chose to let it.
The end of your life is not the end. Not unless you let it be, through your actions and inactions during the time you're alive.
The end of your life -- thanks to the turbulence you leave behind you in the stream of time -- is the beginning.
How to Live Forever Epic series Book 4 eBook J Truant
Everyone always has this insecurity at some point in their life, be it when they're building their career or a midlife crisis, for me it's the former for now. What this book reminds you of is that you're only seeing one portion of the question which is the egotistical, and not the effect. Traunt tells you its not you being remembered for how many hours you volunteered for the soup kitchen to look like you give, though you do in this example but it is about more that you did the DO'ing, of generosity. The action that caused however many mouths to be fed that day, or however many toys were made and bought for children or whatever.
To live forever is to partake in bringing the fuel and contributions to the most important ideas and joys of life so that others to come can have their lives uplifted or enriched the ways ours were.
Philosophy does not die because great thinkers of the past are now dead.
Philosophy only dies when we stop thinking.
This is why past philosophers live on, and this is what this book teaches.

How to Live Forever Epic series Book 4 eBook J Truant Reviews
I think this one is the second best of the floor. This one was an essay about death and living, built on the event of his grandfathers death. With a touch and then explanation of the first essay at the end of this one.
I think if you read the first one, and this one, you could skip the other two.
Made me want to improve on the way that I am living. It was a short book but it was deep. Of all the self help books that I have read, this might just be the one that makes me live a better life.
A pretty good article from "Johnny B. Truant".
Of course, you don't get to live forever, but what you do lives beyond you. JBT, of course, expands on that theme.
Not "one for the ages", but it will probably stay with you.
I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting as I haven't heard of Johnny B. Truant before. I downloaded this because it sounded interesting and it was free at the time through the store.
It's a short book. It's not a step-by-step book giving you instructions (that you probably wouldn't follow anyway) on how to live a better life. It's more of a gentle smack upside the head that says get over yourself and start living. It gives you a perspective that we seem to not be able to see when we get caught up in the minutia of everyday life.
Like other works by this author, it is short and has a simple, worthwhile point to make. It is by no means a deep philosophical work which follows a rigorous path through the complexities of that field of study. It is intended to be more of a slap upside the head about a point of living that we may have missed.
Positively touch other people in a meaningful way, and you may be surprised by the results of your small ripples in the limited timeline of our short life may have eventually produced!
I would highly recommend this 13 page read to anyone who could use a slight change in their perception about the impact that our life can have on others.
You are the sum total of your actions, words, and deeds. This book does an excellent job of explaining how to make your life count. It also deal with memorials. No drama, just clear writing on end of life desires. Have you made a decision? I think one of the worst things that can happen is for someone's last wishes to be ignored.
"You are what you choose to be. You are who you influence --how you make tiny, tiny parts of the world different, and better.
Meaning is not defined by being. It is defined by doing. If you do nothing, you are nothing. If someone could pluck you from existence and nothing would change, you've failed.
You are the sum total of your actions, words, and deeds.
You are the turbulence you leave behind you in the stream of time."
I will keep certain passages in mind.
I LOVES the first book. Loved it. This one is a whole mother story. Well this one isn't even a book.
I read through what feels like the first chapter only to find I am somehow at the end of the book. Thinking I did something wrong I kept flicking my finger, watching the screen go from a half page of writing to the page requesting my feedback. I go back to the "last" page and notice a hyperlink. Click. Now I am on the blogpost which, conveniently, picks right up where the "book" left off. I get blindsided.
I selected this title to read what I hoped would be another awesome guide only to pick up the first chapter for the authors blog post. It may be a great post, but I will never know cause I'm not digging the slight of hand.
